Performance Requirements

"Edgar" travels with just two performers. In order to keep travel costs to a minimum, we ask that the presenter provide the following items, which are required for performance of the show.

-A evocative space large enough to accomodate seating for your guests and a 12'x12' "performance area" at one end. Ideal spaces might be a large Victorian parlor, a small historic ballroom, a house museum, or a period library.

-A traditional upright or grand piano, in good playing condition, to be placed at the stage-left side of the space.

-Four "hurricane" oil lamps or several sturdy candlestick holders with candles, all functional.

-A supply of approximately 20 old books, preferably dark cloth covers.

-An "antique" armchair. Anything from a large sidechair to a wingback.

-A small lectern or appropriately aged music stand.

-Three small "antique" side tables or tea tables.

-Housing and meals for two performers. We generally arrive the day before a performance, and depart the morning after.

-Transportation costs and fees will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
